New Buffalo harbor during January

The New Buffalo beach and harbor area are beautiful during the winter months. Kyle and I make the drive from Chicago every weekend to enjoy Harbor Country.

We usually have a brunch downtown New Buffalo at Rosie's Cafe. Then we hit all the shops and galleries. The area has really grown over the last 15 years. Though not as busy as the summer months, it seems to becoming quite busy during winter.

We love the stairs over the dunes at the New Buffalo city beach. We took this shot of the harbor from the highest point on the walk. The ice flow was slowly moving from south to north. A beautiful, sunny winter day.
