Friends sent my husband and I on a scavenger hunt, starting with then Tartan Hill Winery in New Era Michigan. We'd lived in New Era for a couple of years and had no idea this place even existed!

After sampling several different wines, we selected two new favorites (which our friends had already paid for) and left there with the next destination in our hunt.

Of all the stops on that scavenger hunt, which included massages, a restaurant, and other points of interest, Oceana Winery is the only place we've returned to year after year.

This year they've added two dessert wines and an ice wine to their menu. But I'm glad to see they continue to make the semi-sweet white wine, Traminette, that I'm fond of!
